In addition to written records on all out patients, we also use a computer system which is a valuable tool in the way we practice and with our work in managing diseases, prescribing and preventative medicine.
All patient data is secure and confidential and we are registered under the Data Protection Act 2018. All staff who have access to medical records are obliged to observe strict rules of confidentiality. Records are used by the NHS for financial audit purposes and for anonymised research to monitor and improve health care.
We are continually striving to improve our clinical care of patients, at times other health care professionals help us with this and will access to your records. If you would prefer your records not to be accessed in this way please advise us in writing.
